Michael And The Magicians

From 1990 through 2003, The Mirage Casino in Las Vegas was the venue for the Siegfried & Roy show. In the early 90′s, Michael spent time at the Mirage as a guest of Steve Wynn’s, the hotel’s owner.

Through this connection to the Mirage, Michael and Siegfried & Roy became friends. He wrote the act’s theme song, “Mind is the Magic”.

Siegfried & Roy’s longtime friend Michael Jackson surprised the Magicians of the Century when he flew to Las Vegas to meet their rarest of the rare Snow-White male Siberian White Tiger, Apollo, and see their protégé, the “Voice of Magic” Darren Romeo, presented matinees at The Mirage by Siegfried & Roy.

Jackson, who penned Siegfried & Roy’s theme song, was raving to the entertainers about the experience of feeding Apollo and having the opportunity to see the Romeo’s unique combination of magic and music. “This is what I always wanted to capture in my shows,” said Jackson. “Music and magic is a fantastic combination; the three of you may have to develop some magic for my songs when I stage my next concert.” After meeting Apollo and seeing Romeo’s show, could there be a song coming for both from the King of Pop? Siegfried & Roy and Romeo sure hope so!
