On the album cover of Invincible, released in 2001, we see Michael’s face with his right eye highlighted.
As previously discussed, the “all-seeing eye” is an important occult symbol.
By this stage, Michael was openly defying his record label and voicing his dissatisfaction with its treatment of him.
Highlighting his right eye on the album cover can be interpreted as Michael throwing the “all-seeing eye” symbol back in the faces of the powers that be, as in, his was now the “all-seeing eye”.
Could it be that he was sending out a message?
Interestingly enough, this album heralded his gruelling battle with Sony.
